We pride ourselves on being a ‘smart airport’. With limited space to work in and an ever-increasing number of passengers, the latest in airport technology is helping us make the most of what we have got, keeping flights punctual, and passengers happy.

Case studies

Over the last few years we have worked with a number of companies to introduce technology into our airport which have benefitted both our passengers and those companies.

Using technology from Crowd Vision, based in the neighbouring Royal Borough of Greenwich, we analyse passenger movement through our airport and use data to make airport improvements. Read about our work with the company here.

Check-in times at our airport have been greatly improved through the introduction of Brighton and Hove-based firm Phase 5’s self-service bag drop machines. Read more about how we have worked with Phase 5 to improve our airport here.

The Future

As our case studies show, we are an airport that supports British and Irish businesses. We are constantly looking at ways in which we can improve our airport’s existing infrastructure, and with expansion we will continue to look at ways in which we can use technology to provide the very best to our passengers
